Five questions with Morgan Kollin: creator Youmacon anime conventions

Halloween may be over, but not all of the costumes will be relegated to the back of the closet this weekend.

The seventh annual Convention of Youmacon began today at the Detroit Marriott at the Renaissance Center. Fans of Japan animation style known as anime knows that means one thing-Cosplay. On Youmacon, participants dressed as characters from their favorite shows and video games–an activity known as Cosplaying (short for costume play)–opportunities for condemned and get the prizes during the Cosplay masquerade.

In addition to Cosplay, event will feature vendors, panel, games and celebrities from the world of movies, including movies, TV, video-game and comic books.

Some customers expected features in this year including sound Youmacon actor and Director, Caitlin Glass, who has attended every Youmacon since 2005; Powerglove, a heavy metal band that includes video games and anime music; and The Don (Sonny), appearing as Usopp in "One Piece" and Krillin in Dragon Ball Z Kai. "

We are stuck with a 31 year old Morgan Kollin of Oakland County, which creates the Youmacon 10 years ago, to find out more about the event.
